Just a quick post about how things are going. Etsy shop is up and running! The Scrabble tile pendants aren't selling as well as the glass tiles. I have several theories
- people just like the glass ones better
- the glass ones are more new, Scrabble ones have been around longer
- there is too much competition for the scrabble ones
- the glass ones are more "adult" and that is the Etsy audience
- the Scrabble ones don't photograph as well.
I am convinced that success Scrabble pendant shops are photoshopping their images into their photo and embossing them to look like they have the glaze on them. Seems a little misleading if you ask me...
Off to try and set up consignments with retails stores in Halifax!
